Garib Rath train - Shocking use of Bathroom by IRCTC staff
The Garib Rath is one of the few trains to have a special compartment for the disabled passengers. With a wide passage and ample space between the seats that will even take a wheelchair, plus a bathroom that also is big and accomodates a wheelchair. One would say kudos to the Indian Railways! However, the disabled passengers have to deal with the IRCTC staff who take over the bathroom meant for the use of the disabled. The IRCTC staff keep the bathroom locked with a chain and their lock, preventing the disabled passengers from using it! Why? Because they use it to store cartons, ice, food, etc. In addition the passage is also blocked by trunks by the newly appointed housekeeping company personnel. At night they all crowd and sleep there and any passenger has a harrowing time in reaching the bathroom. Indian Railways, Mamta Banerjee... wake up! when you do something good for passengers, ensure it remains good!
