LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Did someone hear a buzzing sound? That's just the noise you hear when Scarlett Johansson, star of "Lost in Translation" and "Girl with a Pearl Earring," walks into the room.
Apparently there is so much pre-Oscar and Golden Globe buzz around the 18-year-old that designers are already lining up to dress her.
In Los Angeles to promote "Girl with a Pearl Earring ," Johansson tells Zap2it.com that at a recent shopping outing the salesperson tried to push a dress on her.
Johansson laughs, "I was just trying on a dress and the salesperson said, 'You have to wear that dress to the Globes.' I said, 'The Golden Globes?'"
The salesman didn't stop there. He told her that the dress was perfect for her body and she must take it.
A humble Johansson takes all this lavishing with a grain of salt. She simply replied, "Um, I plan on eating Chinese food at home that night."
We'd like to see that fortune cookie.
"Girl with a Pearl Earring" opens Friday, Dec 12 in New York and Los Angeles. It expands on Jan 9. Golden Globe nominations will be announced on Thursday, Dec. 18.
